Autumn is arguably the most beautiful season of the year. To me, it symbolises change more so than any other. With the leaves changing from lush greens to all of those beautiful shades of reds, oranges and browns (and don’t forget conkers!!), animals preparing to batten down for the coming winter and the distinct change in the air from the warmth of summer to crisp, fresh, morning mists, making my walk to the station refreshingly beautiful.
It means cozy jumpers, boots, scarves, hats and gloves. Giant mugs of hot chocolate and long walks with all of those wonderful leaves crunching underfoot, all of the different shades of ginger!
It also means pumpkins! I absolutely love all the wonderful harvest vegetables coming into season, meaning soups and bakes and a stunning array of my favourite colours providing so many options for warming, comforting meals as those dark evenings draw in.
